Personal information security
Verna is responsible for the processing of your personal data and is committed to enforcing rules on the protection and security of information. Verna's experts monitor that Verna's customer data is securely protected and does not fall into the hands of anyone other than those who need to work with it. Data access is specifically controlled so that employees only have access to the data that is necessary for them to perform their jobs at Verna.
Does Verna know where I was driving?
No, Verna does not store any data in its systems about where you have driven. To ensure privacy, Verna only stores very limited driving data, i.e. the customer's overall driving score, the customer's overall sub-score (cf. softness, speed, distraction, time of day and fatigue while driving) as well as the number of kilometers driven and the total number of trips. Verna does not receive or store data in its systems about individual customer trips, but that data will only be stored in a personally identifiable form on customers' phones.
Does it cost anything to switch to Verna?
The short answer is that there are sensors in all smartphones today that can be used to create a driving score for you and thus assess the risk you are taking when driving. Great care is taken to protect your privacy in this process so that sensitive data is not stored in a personally identifiable form anywhere except on your phone. Here is the long answer.
Does Verna collect information about traffic violations?
No, Verna does not collect data about your potential traffic violations. The only data stored in Verna's systems is your overall driving score and your overall sub-score, such as your driving behavior. The only place where you can view personally identifiable data about individual trips is on your mobile phone. However, the speed score you receive for each trip does not assess whether you were driving above or below the speed limit, but rather assesses your so-called environmental speed, i.e. whether you were driving faster or slower than others usually drive on a particular road section. For example, if you drive much slower than others in traffic, this can increase the risk of a collision.
